Mudroom

About This Project

Full makeover of a completely useless mudroom adjoining the house to the garage. Originally the mudroom only consisted of a small bench that the builder provided and some cluttered left over furniture to fill the space. The refrigerator was in the garage but the cold winters were too much for the unit so it was decided to move it into the house. The idea was born of doing a locker space for coat and shoe storage and some pantry cabinets for additional storage to surround the refrigerator that had the same look as the lockers. I also thought the ceiling needed some help so false beams were added with bead board which were stained espresso brown to give a nice contrast with the lighter cappuccino finish on the cabinets.
